What I would give to be a fly on the wall when whoever conceived of this theme for a photo shoot pitched it to Marianne Faithfull. I can imagine it now: "okay Marianne, so we're going to have you in a bunch of different dresses and you'll be coming out of boxes that are larger-than-life, you see? Each photo will be the same and yet different. It will be such an artistic statement."
She looks really pretty, though (as per usual)

Mod Britt Barbie in Shoe Box...
Wild little surprise for sure.
Cheers!
I've never seen these. Thanks for sharing. Marianne's my fav. :)
sweet! I just did a post on Marianne and I just saw this haha. We're obviously on the same wavelenth:)
This has always been one of my most favorite Marianne photoshoots.
The 60's definitely had the best ideas in my opinion when it came to fashion shoots.
This is so awesome!

Teri - definitely quite a wild surprise! But it's appropriate, Marianne was such a doll :)
Meghan - I'm glad you like them!
Jess - we are on literally the same wavelength! haha
Marianne looks so great here - with anyone else, it would have looked so corny, but she makes it look so fab!
Dylana - I'm glad you like! xoxo
When I was little we had some dolls from Japan that my dad's friend gave us, and they came in groovy boxes like this. This photo shoot triggered a long lost memory!
Ahh that's so neat, Anonymous! Maybe there's a connection to MF and the Japanese dolls? (Imagine, dolls modeled after Marianne .. wouldn't that be a riot?)
